Flawless God

As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless. Psalm 18:30

God is perfect. His law, His word, His teachings are all flawless. His perfection gives us a fearless faith. We know He is perfect and there is no one else like Him. That alone makes us fearless in our faith because we know He is the only true God.

Prayer

God, You are perfect, the only true God. My faith in You is endless. No one matches Your power. Amen

The Ultimate Good

I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing.” Psalm 16:2

It is true, the best things in the world are nothing without the Lord. He is the ultimate good, without Him everything else would be pointless. Imagine living a life without God, it would seem pointless and lost. Yet remember, there are those that live and they are unaware of God. It is our task as Christians to bring Him to these people. All people who live without God have a void in their soul waiting to be filled. It is your job to give them God and fill their soul. Go and save them, bring them to the kingdom of the eternal God.

Prayer

Lord God, bring strength to me as I spread Your message. Open the eyes of those who live without You, do not let their hearts be hardened. You are the ultimate good and I will bring more disciples to Your kingdom. By Your will. Amen

Strength from Above

Ephesians 6:10
 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.

If you ever feel weak, look to God, ask Him for strength. As Christians, our strength comes from above. God’s almighty power is the source of our energy. When you are weary, pray to God, ask God to provide you with strength so that you may conquer any task that comes your way.

Prayer

Lord , You are the light of soul. When I am weak and fatigued, please fill me with a strength that will not extinguish. Your mighty power will lead me to accomplish great tasks, all in the name of You, Lord God. Amen

Anchor of the Soul

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.  Hebrews 6:19

Christ is the anchor of our soul. He holds us safe and secure. He keeps us steady in the storm. With Christ we are safe, with Christ we are anchored in a foundation of God.

Prayer

Christ our Lord, my soul depends on You. You are the anchor of my faith. With You may I never falter and continue to follow the path God has laid out for me. Amen

Free

You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. Romans 6:18

Jesus set us free from sin. His death gave us our new life, to live for God. We are freed from the sin that enslaves us therefore we should be servants to the one who set us free. We need to be servants to Jesus, Son of the one, true God. We are slaves to righteousness, we will never be worthy of what Jesus gave us and this makes us forever indebted to Him. We are free of sin, but to truly be free you must be a servant to the Almighty God, Creator of the heavens and the earth.

Prayer

God our Father, free from sin, I am a servant to You. Your power is matched by no one. You are the Creator of all things, and I am forever Your humble servant. Amen

Look to the Heavens

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19:1

Look to the sky, look at the heavens.  The beauty you see was created by the one true God, our Lord.  His beauty surrounds us and reminds us of His power.  So look to the heavens and see the glory of God’s power. We are unworthy of such a powerful, merciful God.

Prayer

Lord, Your power is a reminder of how unworthy we are. We don’t deserve the mercy You have given us through the cross.  Our faith is what we give You and sometimes our faith is weak. You are the Lord of Lords and we bow at Your holy feet. Amen

Freedom

The Lord, our God gives us everything we have. He is the reason why we have freedom. We have been blessed and sometimes we forget all the blessings He has given us.  We must pray to our God offering Him our gratitude.

Prayer

Lord of all nations, guide our people by Your Spirit to go forward in justice and freedom. Give us what outward prosperity may be Your will, but above all things, give us faith in Your will. Amen

 

Literal or Symbolic

Are the words of the Bible supposed to be taken as literal or symbolic. This debate focuses on many of the prophecies, especially the book of Revelations,  and I was wondering what other people’s opinions were on the subject. How should we interpret the Bible.

Rejoice

O clap your hands, all peoples; Shout to God with the voice of joy. Psalm 47:1

Rejoice, if you are a believer in Jesus Christ, Son of God, you have plenty to be joyful for. Yet sometimes, we lose sight of our blessings as we go through our daily lives. Christ wants His joy to be our joy. We should share His love and joy in our hearts. Celebrate the life that God has given to you. God has blessed you beyond measure. Honor Him with your actions throughout the day.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,  let me be joyful, for you have given me so many gifts.  Make me joyful and wise. I praise You for Your gift of eternal salvation. Make me an example to others that is worthy of You. Amen

The First of the Beatitudes

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:3

A poor man is used to injustice, he develops a strong sense that he needs God’s help. This is the ‘poor’ that the scriptures speak of. A man who respects God and understands that he is nothing without God. This is closely link with humility. The poor man humbles himself before God. What Jesus says is true, it is the humble, not the proud, that will inherit the kingdom of heaven. So remember, be humble before the Lord your God. Do not every think you are self-sufficent, everything you do relys on Him, without God we are nothing. That is humility, that is respect for God.

Prayer

Lord, I humble myself in your presence. Without You, I am nothing. Everything I  do, I do for You. I can do nothing without You at my side. Your majesty empowers my spirit throughout my days. Amen
